CQC ‘Good’ Rating Achieved for first inspection
Read the latest assessment report for Functional Doctor – Published 6 May 2026
We are delighted to announce that Functional Doctor has been awarded a Good rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for our very first inspection in May 2026.
The CQC is the independent regulator of health and social care services in England. Its role is to ensure that healthcare providers deliver care that is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
For our patients, this rating provides independent reassurance that the high standards we strive for every day have been formally recognised.
What Does a CQC Rating Mean?
The CQC assesses healthcare providers across five key areas:
- Safe – Patients receive care in a safe environment with robust systems and processes in place.
- Effective – Care is evidence-based and focused on achieving the best possible outcomes.
- Caring – Patients are treated with kindness, dignity and respect.
- Responsive – Services are designed around the needs of patients.
- Well-led – Strong leadership ensures quality, safety and continuous improvement.
Achieving a Good rating reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare while maintaining the personalised and patient-centred approach that sits at the heart of our clinic.
Combining Innovation with Clinical Governance
Functional medicine is often associated with innovation, advanced testing and personalised treatment strategies. However, innovation should never come at the expense of safety, quality or clinical governance.
At Functional Doctor, we believe the best healthcare combines the latest scientific advances with rigorous clinical standards. Our patients benefit from personalised medicine, comprehensive testing and a root-cause approach, all delivered within a regulated healthcare environment.
Thank You
This achievement would not have been possible without the trust and support of our patients, as well as the dedication of our clinical and administrative team.
We remain committed to continually improving our services and helping our patients achieve better health through personalised, evidence-based care.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
