Thoughtful
Deep clinical thinking, not just symptom management. Every detail of your case is carefully considered.
Dr Gupta
I’m Dr Suman Gupta, with over 20 years of NHS experience and more than a decade specialising in functional medicine.
I work with people who have spent years searching for answers to understand what is really going on with their health — by listening deeply, investigating thoughtfully and connecting what has often been missed.
The most valuable thing I offer is clinical thinking – asking the right questions, choosing targeted investigations, and turning the evidence into a precise treatment plan.
Yes, I still live with CFS/ME & Endometriosis, but my quality of life is so much better than what it was.
As the diabetes lead within the NHS, I began to see something that changed the way I thought about medicine. When patients changed what they ate and how they lived, I saw changes that went far beyond blood sugar — energy, weight, inflammation and overall health.
Once I had seen it. I couldn’t unsee it.
Over the years, I combined my conventional medical training with functional medicine — the same clinical rigour, but with more time, broader investigation and a greater focus on understanding why someone is unwell.
Medicine is rarely black and white. I practise in the grey.
I want my patients to understand their options, decide with me which path feels right for them, and above all leave with something that can be surprisingly hard to find after years of illness: hope.
Eventually, I knew this was the only way I wanted to practise medicine. So I built the kind of clinic I had always wanted to work in — one where I could think deeply, investigate with purpose and stay with the whole story from beginning to end.
Every consultation is designed to give you the time and attention you deserve. No rushed appointments, no dismissive responses. Just genuine, considered care that helps you understand your health and move forward with clarity, knowledge and confidence.
